ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Sycamore Riverside Energy Center is a 930-megawatt (MW) natural gas power generation facility targeted to begin operating in 2029. Clean-burning natural gas power plants use cutting-edge technology and can quickly adjust power output, keeping energy reliable and supporting additional sustainable energy sources.
- Three-year greenfield project – from cornfield to power plant
- 4 GE 7FA.05 combustion turbines
- Fuels: Natural gas and ultra-low sulfur diesel (backup)
- Building on approximately 25 acres on a 365-acre site
- Invenergy’s third energy development in Sullivan County
