The Boldt Group Names New Leaders in Modular

Ben Bruns and Melanie Taylor will work to grow Boldt’s modular business

APPLETON, WIS. (JUNE 25, 2024) – The Boldt Group has named Ben Bruns and Melanie Taylor its new Modular leaders responsible for growing the modular business geographically and across industry sectors.

Bruns has been named Vice President of Modular. Previously, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Northern Operations. Bruns has more than 20 years of experience in business, business development, jobsite project management and engineering.

“I’m energized about the opportunity modular construction presents in producing much more predictable and reliable outcomes for customers across the country,” Bruns said. “Boldt is at the forefront of a new way to build, one that dramatically improves the outputs of the construction process, reducing and refining the inputs we use to create extraordinary spaces. We can create a safer and more inviting environment for our tradespeople to do what they love, while reducing waste and rework.”

A native of Denver, Iowa, Bruns earned a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering from Iowa State University. He lives in Neenah, Wisconsin.

Taylor has been named Vice President of Boldt Modular’s Manufacturing. She previously served as Vice President of Self-Perform Operations. In her nearly 20 years with Boldt, she has developed a reputation as a forward-thinking leader who embraces innovation and promotes collaborative team environments.

“Modular and prefabrication are not only the future of the construction industry—they’re the now,” Taylor said. “I’m thrilled to be part of advancing Boldt’s innovative construction practices and driving sustainable, resource-conscious manufacturing solutions to our customers.”

Taylor graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a business certificate. A native of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, she now lives in Appleton, Wisconsin.

This announcement follows the naming of Dave Kievet to President and CEO of The Boldt Group.
