The Boldt Company Welcomes Sabel as President   

APPLETON, WIS. (Oct. 22, 2025) – The Boldt Company, a nationally recognized construction firm headquartered in Appleton, Wis., announces Greg Sabel as President.  

He succeeds David Thomack, who assumed the role of President of Western Operations for the company’s rapidly expanding business in California. 

In his new role, he leads The Boldt Company’s Executive Team and oversees all aspects of company operations—from strategic planning and financial management to client relations, safety and cultural alignment.  

“Greg possesses both a depth of experience and the leadership mindset critical to The Boldt Company’s continued growth and success,” said Dave Kievet, President and CEO, The Boldt Group. “He will play a pivotal role in focusing and leading field operations’ work and building on the company’s 136-year legacy.” 

Sabel brings more than 25 years of construction industry experience, most recently as Executive Vice President at C.D. Smith Construction, Inc. where he led project management, field operations, estimating, virtual design and construction, and strategy. He earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
