UC San Francisco – Helen Diller Hospital

UCSF Helen Diller Medical Center at Parnassus Heights is being delivered by a unique, tri-venture partnership among Herrero Builders, Inc., The Boldt Company and Webcor, known as the HBW group.

The UCSF Helen Diller Hospital project is transforming the historic Parnassus Heights campus in San Francisco with the construction of a new 300-bed research hospital and renovations to the existing Long and Moffitt hospitals. Located adjacent to the UCSF Helen Diller Medical Center, the new facility is designed to expand capacity, support leading-edge research and care, and serve the community for decades to come.

The project includes 108 ICU beds, 120 acute care beds and 72 flexible beds that can convert between acute and intensive care. Built on a highly constrained site with connections to multiple existing facilities, the hospital is designed to remain operational for at least 72 hours following a major seismic event.

The project is being delivered through an Integrated Form of Agreement (IFOA), bringing the owner, designers, builders and trade partners together under a single contract. As part of Herrero Boldt Webcor (HBW), Boldt is helping deliver this complex healthcare project through a highly collaborative, Lean project delivery approach.
